When Bill Gambini (Ralph Macchio) and his friend are mistakenly charged with
murder while traveling through Alabama, it’s up to his lawyer cousin Vinny (Joe Pesci),
a former auto mechanic from Brooklyn who has never been in court – or in Alabama,
to try to help overturn the conviction. But when Vinny arrives with his leather-clad,
gum-chewing New York girlfriend (Marisa Tomei in a Best Supporting Actress
OSCAR®-winning performance), it becomes clear that this is his first case.
